Woodhouse Spiceless. We both like spicy food, not Madras or Vindaloo, but like to have the chili tingle or the coriander sensation after a curry. Unfortunately, the chef at Woodhouse Spice prepared a jalfrezi and a balti without either. The meat was a little chewy and not especially tasty. Our staters were chicken tikka, served on a sizzling plate, and chicken pakora, same pink coated chicken without the sizzle, but coated in batter.
The wine list wasn't extensive, but £14 for a bland bottle of the stuff was disappointing.
Also, the floor covering results in several people slipping as they walk around. Two starters, two bland curries, one rice and a nan bread along with a bottle of ordinary wine cost £44. Paid less elsewhere, had much better meals.
