Wanted to visit as this is currently number one in sheffield and wanted to treat my mum to a nice lunch.
The cafe is very small and the tables are tiny. Nothing matched and the seats are uncomfortable.
Lunch time was busy, as you would expect. We ordered two lattes (£2.80 each) and two sandwiches (£3.80 each). We sat at the counter
The coffees came and were really nice and creamy we then waited 20 minutes for our sandwiches. One tuna melt that had to be warmed and on Brie and cranberry. We were surprised the sandwiches took so long as there were no other sandwich orders being placed.
The sandwich was ok but nothing special. Very small for the price.
In summary, although the coffee was really nice and the staff are friendly enough this isn't a place to merit being sheffields number one cafe. It a nice coffee shop and I assume its number one due to its high student clientele.
