The Lyceum has a well planned seating area and hosts some of the top musicals with great staging effects. The best seats are the dress circle or stalls. It is easy to find right in the Centre of Sheffield with parking not too far away.

There are many advantages to being tall and big, but going to the theatre is not one of them. Neither is flying in a plane or trying to sit in many cars. Nevertheless, we went to see Julian Clary and enjoyed it. Except for the cramp.

My favourite theatre in Sheffield. Love the decor. Always something to see for children and adults. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff.

We went to see The Magic of Motown yesterday at the Sheffield Lyceum. We had booked tickets for the balcony and ,were really looking forward to a lively show. However we were thoroughly disappointed as the sound system in the balcony and also in the circle was not working properly and none of this singers could be heard. Many people went to complain and in the interval we were told by an usher on the ground floor, that the bands own sound system was faulty and the Lyceum's sound system would be used in the second half. However although we then could hear the singers it was clearly not set up properly.
No apology was offered to the audience at the start of the second half or at the end to all the people affected. The same lady usher was collecting tickets at the end of the performance so that the Lyceum could contact them. However there was none of the management team in sight! Very disappointing evening!
