the restaurant was beautiful n the food was perfect.. We have been to this browns 3 times n highly recommend it. My brother and wife also love it and even our son and gf love it. Our only problem was the very large group of ladies screaming n laughing throughout our meal. But it didnt spoil pur romantic night out.

had a family meal in this restaurant , the food was over cooked ( dry ) the food was also cold
a complete waste of money and was also expensive , the only thing the waitress was corncerned about was the tip , dont waste your time if planning a nice night out as it ruined our night

We wandered the streets of Sheffield in the rain looking for shelter and a place to eat. We literally stumbled across Browns, it looked inviting, and so in we went.
The menu looked to be quite interesting, we took our time to peruse the offerings, but finally decided to have a platter to share.
The drinks were slow to arrive, the food arrived around the same time and, at first, we were delighted by the mouth-watering array.
However, our appetites were soon stolen by the discovery of TWO hairs inside the food. We called the server and asked for an explanation - none was given. In fact we never saw the server again.
We left the food, we also left the restaurant. We won't be going back!

First visit to a Browns restaurant we booked this for Family reunion meal for 19 people which including 8 kids aged 11-15, as it was in the City Centre and convenient to our hotel. We explained via email we need disabled access due to my sun being in a wheelchair and my brother recovering from leg surgery and still on crutches. We also specified we were happy for the kids to sit together on a separate table to us so both the adults and kids could enjoy each others company.
We choose to pre order from the Heritage menu at £20 for two courses or £25 for 3 courses. Kids had enough choice from £7/£9 menu and for these older kids they choose from adult menu although they dint have to.
Well firstly we were seated in a private area downstairs lift access which was away from the main ground floor area but not fr away tht we enjoyed all the ambience of he main restaurant but were private enough not to have interference from others and we were not conscious of the kids having to be too quiet because of other diners.
We arrived at 5.30 pm which we thought might be too early but it worked well - we had drinks then starters and from a timing point of view we were not rushed but ate our main meal at about 7 pm we stayed til after 10 pm staying for more drinks as we were having such a good time the restaurant were able to leave us at our table and The kids just moved to a booth next to us having none alcoholic cocktails !
Our waitress Aimee who has worked there over two years was lovely she couldn't have been more friendly personable and efficient she was quick and attentive. The food was excellent no- one had anything other than great comments. We had the rib eye cooked as specified with great chunky chips, the lamb was lean and tender, the mushroom feuillette starter was to die for , the puds were yummy ESP the toffee pudding with clotted cream! The portion sizes good. The kids meals were good although if you child is around 12 with a good appetite best to go for an adult meal your choice. Think the food was good value. Drinks menu plentiful good win can recommend the red Malbec and white Australian Chardonnay.
All in all would definitely go back and also try other Browns restaurants

I got a voucher which meant it was 2 courses for 2 people for £19.73. The food was very nice & service was really quick. We had a Couple of cocktails which were lovely but not the cheapest of drinks.
