Situated close to the town centre but far enough away from the main part this restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere. The food was good in variety and quality. The wine good value for money.
Try the Brown's Eton Mess. Lovely!

Visited with my friend and we both agreed that Nottingham's Browns offers a much better atmosphere.
However, food and service good.

This place is brilliant. If you want lovely nice drinks and bar snacks then this is place. If you want to take friends for some posh nosh then this is the place. If you've got a babysitter and want a nice Saturday lunch out then this is the place.
If you want happy hour, cheap drinks, crisps and pork scratchings then this is not the place
We just love visiting here and always feel like its been a really special visit. The staff are wonderful and the bar staff incredibly knowledgable. The food is divine, even the bar snacks and for what it is, I think it's well priced, particularly the Sunday lunch menu.

I should have asked for us to be seated downstairs, the handrail on the stairs is split in sections by tall pillars not helpful for someone like myself who is reliant on using them, although they have a large restaurant section this gets noisy to hear people and with no disabled access to the restaurant some guests may be disappointed.

We popped in to browns for a bite to eat, service was very good, not booked but quickly shown to our table, given just the right amount of time to look at the menu plus the food didnt take long either. Slightly overpriced but i suppose you pay for your surroundings and service. My belly pork was very nice though the crackling not so. Everyone elses food was decent. I wouldnt say no to going again
