Textbook example of a great museum. Social history laid out for all to see. Accessible, cleverly done and lots of pertinent information. The butchers shop recreation was great, as was the display of 'Painted Fabrics Limited'. The whole place had a feeling of being packed with information and things to look at, but was never cluttered.
All the staff I spoke to were cheerful and very helpful and friendly.
The lady in the gift shop even said 'Thank you for coming in'. Lovely touch.
