It can get very busy with students on a warm day, but it is very well-kept and clean. The museum cafe is very good. Probably not sensible to walk through late at night, but the main paths are well-lit and the gates always unlocked.

Very hands on, loved doing the activity sheets with my grandchildren! Something for everyone. Staff very helpful have been several times and will continue to do so!

we visited with our 8 year old daughter, on the way in we got some activity sheets that were free and you had to find things as you went round the museum which my daughter loved, there are loads of things to do as you go round and time just flew. There is a café but we found it quite expensive there is also a little gift shop that is really nice

Nice to have lunch, bbq or play a group game. Fantastic in the summer and great to walk/run during the rest of the year.

Love it! Soo much to see & do. New regular exhibitions that are interactive, to encourage children to play. Great for families, couples, schools, just about anyone of any age, to be honest.
In winter a great place to spend a day whilst in summer months you can go outside and enjoy the park that surrounds the museum and buy an ice cream from the ice cream van at the gate!
It's got a cafe with indoor / outdoor seating. It's all one level , so great for wheel chair & pram users. It's got a real Mummy & did have an interactive bee hive, until the colony collapse ( not sure if it's been reinstated). Kids can dress up. It's fab!!! And FREE!!!! Never two visits are the sam, as they refreshingly have something different going on! Parking IS an issue though
