“Nice place, not that big though.”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Visited with my daughter and two grandchildren aged 3 and 4. A very nice place but not that big to spend a full day there. We arrived at opening time and they only had pots of mealworms for sale, not the pack of 5 things you could buy to feed the animals. Not very good considering it was only opening time and Also the school holidays. The place was well kept and the children enjoyed themselves, despite some older children being in the play area who decided to pour black currant juice down the slide. Fortunately a member of staff caught them and made them clean up, as their parents sitting nearby couldn't have cared less! I think this place is lovely for younger children and the parrot show was very good also. Not enough toilets near the cafe area, but plenty at the shop end. Nice that they have an area indoor or outdoor for you to have your own picnics. . Still think the price is a bit steep when the kids are only 3 and 4.

“An enjoyable visit”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

I enjoyed visiting the centre a few years ago before it was expanded, but now there is even more to see. As well as the butterfly house, farm and falconry area that were there previously, the centre now has animals including lemurs, prairie dogs and meerkats, which are usually good fun to watch! The animals have nice, large enclosures where they have a lot of space to roam around. A very enjoyable visit.

“Great family day out!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013 via mobile

Took our 6 and 2 year old. There was plenty to see and do. We enjoyed the Parrot Display and Battle of the Birds of Prey displays where you got the chance to get up real close to some fantastic birds. My kids loved the children's play area and the pedal cars. We loved the butterfly house, meerkats and Giant Tortoise the best. A very clean well run place to visit with lots of areas to picnic. We didn't eat in the cafe but it looked very clean and reasonable. Some posts say it only takes an hour to get round but we managed to stay from 11 until 4 and not once did my kids say they were bored! Excellent value for money would recommend!

“A nice family day out.”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

We couldn't fail to be impressed when we visited as it was a beautiful sunny day, and our toddler is now mobile enough to enjoy the play area, and various wildlife. The animal enclosures are beautifully kept, and the staff are informative and helpful. The butterfly house is stunning, but prepare yourself if you're the kind of person who has the tendency to pass out as the humidity in there is pretty intense!
