We went along here to burn some time on a day out- however, SO pleased we went.

£8.95 per adult in to the park, much cheaper than the Yorkshire Wildlife. Its located 30mins drive from Doncaster centre, but that wasn't a problem for us with a car.

I adore butterflies, so this was ideal for me! Being able to go into the butterfly house and have a butterfly land on me! Total happiness! There were all sorts of creatures on the prowl, birds, lizards, ants, it was AMAZING! Not just for kids!

There were talks throughout the day, birds of prey, where I got to stroke and meet all sorts of birds, forget the kids- I LOVED IT!

Such an amazing day out!

kids get time to play and dance and hands on experience with the animals and families can stay on afterwards to explore in their own time. We ve had a few family days out here and had a great time every time. Love the birds display.

Realy liked this place - quite small but really nicely done. The meerkats and parrots/birds were brilliant to see and the butterfly house it's self is lovely - with a lot of different species around to see. The petting farmyard is great and a real hit with both kids and adults. Not a full days activity but a fun few hours.

We visite here on a very cold day in February. Being Half term it was very busy and as a result, my boys were disappointed to not be able to get a ride on the tractor/train as the tickets were all gone by the time we got there. But other than that, they loved it.
There was a little bit of building work going on in the background to obvioulsy make improvements for this summer.
The boys got the chance to hold an owl during the display/talk from a very knowlegeable gentleman.
The team introducing the flying displays, again were very knowledgeable and entertaining. The kids loved it.
But the gem has to be the Butterfly House. The kids were walking round open mouthed as birds and butterflies were landing randomly on them! Fantastic collection. We spent 50% of the trip in here.
Overall, I would advise an early start. It doesnt take long to go round to be honest, but there are plenty of facilities for picnics ect to drag the day out (not great in Feb however as its all out doors apart from the lovely, but rather small cafe!!). Take the camera!! youll need to to catch the look on the kids faces in the butterfly house.
