“Great place for small children”

Introduces children into a family day out, seeing wild-life and plants. Great for a raining day, and easy to walk round with toddlers.

“A great place to go”

We went here for the first time last year with great granddaughter and have been 3 times since. It is a great place to take young children, lots of small animals and birds plus games to play on.

“Great time and not just for the kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

Spent the day here today. It 's great especially for the budding photographer like me, got some great close up shots of the meerkats and prairie dogs, the butterflies and owls. Loved the bird displays and getting the chance to get up close and personal with Bubbles the owl. The staff were very pleasant and informative when doing the displays too. A great little place to visit.

“Grandchildrens delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

A trip out with Grandma and Grandad is always exciting for our two small grandchildren and we had enormous fun last Monday when we visited the park.
What do you want to see first was greeting with a chor.us of "Meercats please" and quite a time was spent leaning over the wall to watch their antics. We went onto see a parrot show and toured the outside activities before lunch.
There was plenty to interest the children (aged 3 and 5) and there was hand washing station situated around the park as the children were allowed to touch certain animals.
A snack lunch, very reasonably priced, was taken in the restaurant followed by a trip into the butterfly house. The children were enthralled butterflies bigger than birds were flying around parrots and colourful birds were walking and flying free. They were shown a boa constrictor and allowed to touch it, how ever the highlight of the day was when a large blue butterfly descended onto my 5 year old granddaughters wrist and was quite content to stay with her for about ten minutes, she was delighted to have something special to talk about in "Show and tell" at school next week. The visited ended after a short tractor and trailer ride and tw.o tired children were asleep before the reached home.
A room is set aside for picnics and there is an activities room with craft activities and a few games such as air hockey available for the children and coffee and tea can be purchased to revive the grownups.
There is also an adventure play area with slides etc and a small track for pedal tractors and bikes.
