“Love this place”

I regularly visit the Peace Gardens. I love to sit and contemplate. Althought this gem is in the city centre it can be very peaceful. It can equally be very busy. You therefore have to choose your times carefully.

“Free!”

Free to visit. Fountains are stunning but are turned off a lot of the time. Only tends to be peaceful on an evening or very early on a morning. A nice place to sit, think and relax.

At last some one has made a good job of this area, after years of grisly and boring landscaping and buildings. Some excellent fountains and sitting areas

“A changing environment”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

The centre of the City Centre keeps reinventing itself with displays, although the Pirate theme for Christmas was a little mystifying given our distance from the sea.
If you take the time to walk around and read the inscriptions on the walls, this is a touching place to be. Well served by surrounding coffee shops and with food markets and different festivals through the year, this is a lovely place to sit in the sun. Just to watch the children playing in the fountain takes you back to your own youth, then learn the correct name for the fountain and the waterways feeding it and construct a devilish question for your local pub quiz.

“Lovely fountains”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

Lovely fountains and central location even in the cold weather. It is gorgeous in the summer and an ideal place to grab lunch or visit one of the many restaurants, galleries around the area. Great fun for kids to run through the fountains
