Been here several times in last two years. It's nice to visit in different seasons - the magnolias were fantastic this year! Nice little café serving light meals as well as hot drinks, & ice cream for these hot summer days. Also a little shop with cards, nature posters etc.
Only drawback is lack of on-site parking - you need to park on the main road which is free, if you can find a space... There are also meter-spots on adjoining roads.
The gardens are well tended; the trees are beautiful, there is a Redwood (Sequoiadendron,) a Swamp Cypress, huge conifers!
!Beware - the squirrels can hear the rustle of a paper bag at 200yds - they run to you!!
Enjoy a peaceful walk, take a picnic, (don't forget the squirrels food!) breathe the fresh air and enjoy the restful lawns & borders
