“Great value for money”
Reviewed August 4, 2013 via mobile

I visited here with my husband and our 3 year old. My daughter loved this place as she was allowed to climb into the vehicles and dress up she also got to go around the block in a fire engine which she loved.
The entrance fee is reasonable priced so is the gift shop and the cafe. All the staff were friendly and helpful I would recommend this place to others

“A small museum but a good one.”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Mainly dedicated to poilce and fire, but has some other vehicles too. Sited in the old poilce/fire station my kids loved the place and wanted to return the day after. Lots of old fire engines and ambulances to climb on and costunes to wear for the little ones. Theres even a small fire engine ride around some streets on certain days.

A definitie attraction to book a couple of hours to.

“At your service .... Fire and Police”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

The museum is housed in a very interesting building and has lots of fascinating exhibits including old fire engines, police cars and ambulances. There are displays of police and fire fighting tools etc and cells where some famous prisoners were held, one is haunted. If you arrange a guided tour you will get a lot more out of your visit. Prepare to stay all day there's a lot more there than you would think. There's a little cafe that sells basic drinks and the odd bit of food and is housed in a very old part of the complex. the shop sells some interesting items too.

“Brilliant afternoon out!”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

We had a brilliant afternoon here with our 3 boys who are 12,10 & 7. The boys loved it, they were allowed to climb in most of the vehicles and showed great interest in the museum. They throughly enjoyed looking around the 'police' bit and reading about all of the old prisoners. It can be difficult to entertain 3 boys but they really did enjoy themselves. You only need half a day here. We thought it was good value for money. Adults and children could dress up which was great fun. We got to see a member of staff dropping down the firemans pole - very exciting! The facilities aren't going to blow you away but who cares as long as there is a toilet and a decent mug of tea then it's good enough for me. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Defo worth a visit if you are in Sheffield.

Good value for money although the café is not a proper café, its actually more of a human vending machine. I went with my 2 year old and 7 year old, there's lots of vehicles they can climb in to see but nothing really interactive but they enjoyed it, however my 2 year old was a bit scared by all the mannequin's. I'd recommend a visit with young children but perhaps not that young.
