I have been attending this museum since it first opened twenty or so years ago and it has progressively changed. I feel there is room for more exhibits but what is there are showing Sheffield as the true power house of the nation.I have taken many German visitors young and old and they have all been in awe of the river don engine especially when it is in full steam.I would recommend to anyone who is interested in industrial history to visit and i am sure that you will be pleased that you have learned something of our great citys past.

Plenty to see, really interesting, well displayed with helpful staff. I learnt a lot about steel, shipbuilding and armaments in both Sheffield and other places.

We visited the victorian market again this year and we can honestly say that it was just wonderful. The area is full of character and charm and the staff are always looking to help make your visit a good experience. My two girls(11 &12) loved it so much showing their grandparents round and spending their money.

this museum shows the heritage of Sheffield steel. It has working engines that are a wonder to see.
They have days when ' little misters' are in the workshops & show how things were done 'back in the day' It is worthy of a trip no matter what your age,
Staff are always at hand to answer questions and/or explain things.
They have a very interesting childrens indoor play area.
They have done very well to come back after the flood that devistated the museum a few years ago.
