I love going to Endcliffe park when the sun is shining, knowing that there will be a buzz about the place.

It will be full of all sorts of people, young and old and very family friendly.

The cafe is great and there are plenty of facilities and if you fancy going for a walk, there's plenty of paths to take you away from it all.

Its a very nice cafe that's been with us for a long time. Recently refurbished, its what a park needs and is perfect for a quick tea or coffee break whilst walking. Also selling some lightly cooked snacks such as chips and ices, is perfect for both Summer and Winter.

When I first came to Sheffield as a student in 2004 my student flats were on the edge of Endcliffe park, so this is one of the first places I visited.

Located between Hunters Bar roundabout, Rustlings Road and Riverdale Road, Endcliffe park is a fantastic size with lots to do.

The park offers plenty of family activities- large play park, mini fairground, ducks to feed, short bike rides and the stream to explore.

The park is popular with young people in summer for BBQs and sun bathing, and there are a few secret areas where you can go to get some quiet. It does get extremely busy on a hot day and there are probably quieter parks to go to.

There is a regular menu of activities going on- fun fair, Sheffield Pride, charity events, children events etc.

I love this park, I think it has a lovely vibe and is very well looked after.

We come here when we have a few spare hours, because it has a bit of everything. The parking can be a problem at the carpark, so we tend to park on Riverdale Road or close by, then walk in. We also get to see the ducks this way, and the kids like to have a go on the exercise park, on the way to the main play playground. The main playground itself is great, plenty for all ages and safely enclosed. There is often a bouncy castle, carousel and other attractions nearby too, if you are itching to spend a few pounds. Although the tickets for these might seem a little steep at first, the kids get absolutely ages on the bouncy castle/slide, and if you buy the tickets in bulk, you get a hefty discount too. There is a huge grassed area if you want to fly a kite, or play football for example, or even just sit and have a picnic! There is a cafe which serves the usual "greasy spoon" type fare and this is done very well. The portions are huge, and extremely good value. If you are looking for a healthier option, there are jackets and some gorgeous homemade soups which change on a daily basis. It gets busy though and sometimes you won't get a seat indoors after 12pm unless you are lucky. It also has a takeaway ice-cream service with "kids cones" cheaper than the adult version, but still great size. The toilets are a bit grim but to be expected for very busy public loos and I have been to many much worse examples elsewhere! This park is well worth visit.
