“Could do better”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

Very friendly, funny and helpful staff who where let down by the kitchen. Quality of the food was suspect and a bit hit and miss.
However there are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance adjacent to the Motorpoint arena.

We stayed one night as we had come to see WWRY at motorpoint arena. As we arrived we were greeted by Julie on reception . She was very welcoming and from that I knew we were going to enjoy our stay. I chatted to her for a good 5 minutes before remembering my poor husband was sat in car waiting !!
The restaurant although small was excellent and well up to usual premier inn standards. All staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms were very clean and our whole experience was very positive. I would recommend anyone going to motorpoint to book here because as well as being fab its a five minute walk.

We were staying one night as we had come to see Rod Stewart in concert and wanted to be near the arena I booked the premier Inn as it is directly across the road from the Arena £50 for room and meal package £22 each= breakfast and three course meal with drink. We didn't have high expectations. We arrived plenty of parking space, just before check in time our room was not ready, but a friendly receptionist ,quickly moved us to another room, she asked if we had made a reservation for the evening meal, we hadn't. she quickly booked us in apologising that we had not been contacted by phone to make a reservation as we had the meal deal and then directed us to the lift. Our room was modern, clean and comfortable, flat screen TV on wall with a
limit on the volume which I thought a good idea, a chaise lounge, tea & coffee, hair dryer, modern bathroom, liquid soap and shower gel in bathroom, choice of pillow firmness, quiet location. Very good security measures. Evening meal was a limited choice but good pub grub, We had prawn cocktail, garlic mushrooms for starters then steaks cooked to perfection mine rare my husbands medium rare and profiteroles my husband asked for them without chocolate sauce and was offered cream instead, a glass of house white and a beer.
After the show which was brilliant we walked the short distance back to hotel and had drinks at the bar reasonable prices . A very good night sleep apparently if you don't for any reason then you don't have to pay, is their policy. Breakfast was very good lots of choice at self service all you can eat, option for eggs cooked to your liking, all available until 10 am and a great 12 noon check out so no rushing about. All staff behaved like they could not do enough for you, friendly and efficient. check out easy with advice on how to get to our next destination, Meadowhall. I felt for a budget hotel in a position so near to the arena, we were NOT as often happens exploited, but we WERE treated to a Five star service. I would like to send a big thank you to all who work at Sheffield Arena Premier Inn. I think we got a very good deal.

We often use Premier Inn and this one is up to their usual standard. The reception we received was excellent, clean tidy room and excellent location for the Arena which is 5 mins walk away. Also parking on site.

Stayed one night as we were at The Who concert, nice room very clean and comfortable. We had a problem with my meal but this was quickly rectified and we were offered free drinks to compensate, to be fair to the staff the hotel was very busy on this evening and under pressure in the Restaurant. We had a Great breakfast choosing from juices, cereals, fresh fruit, cooked breakfast and croissants and cakes. I feel we were well looked after and the Hotel is a great location if going to the Arena just across the road.

Only stayed one night as we were there to see The Who in concert, but we were very well looked after. The room was large, well furnished, spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was very good. I had a problem with my steak that was very quickly sorted out, the steak was replaced with one that was cooked just the way I asked and we were given a bottle of wine to compensate. You can't ask more than that!
