Dropped by on the off chance. Waiter's english wasn't great, but he tried hard Lunch menu and certain bits on a separate card. What we wanted wasn't on either so he gave us the a la carte menu. We had the squid which was really tender and tasty, but could have been a bit crisper. A thai beef salad which was pretty good, but the beef was really tough and chewy. We had a Patoo chicken, a pork with white pepper and a green thai curry veg. The first was a bit wishy washy and although we asked for extra chillies, was rather bland. The pork was tasty, but the meat was again very tough and looked very greasy. The green curry veg was absolutely delicious and saved the day. Together with a beer and lots of jasmine tea the bill came to a very impressive £30 which would have been almost double where we live.

We visited for a special occasion and were disappointed to have to return a dish. Handling of the returned item was v professional and a speedily replacement was generated. We have used this restaurant a few times in the past and have always been v impressed with the authentic cuisine and helpful staff. I booked a table and informed them we had a pram but this was not considered when seating us. Maybe they had an off day but we had high expectations after our past visits.

I visited this thai restaurant on a busy Saturday night and felt the relaxed yet excited atmosphere immediately as I was greeted with a smile and shown to my seat.

The staff were very helpful on explaining dishes and recommended a few staff favourites to go with our choices.

The thai fish cake starters came within 10 minutes and tasted as good as they looked, fantastic.

The main of rainbow sea bass shortly followed which was impressive, as a sea food lover this dish did not disappoint, fresh and tender with a crispy texture.

Moving to dessert I would recommend co co roll, the combination of rich ice cream with a coconut roll. I wasn't exactly sure what the green coloured roll was made out of but it should satisfy the meanest of sweet tooth's out there.

Throughout the night the staff service was friendly and warming which definitely made the evening just that little bit more enjoyable.

Sheffield has a few good thai places but Patoo would absolutely be one of my top dining choices and I look forward to going again.

Tried here for 1 st time on Xmas eve.
The place did not dissapoint every dish was beautiful. The star dish was the flambé ribs!! The sauce was beautiful and the ribs had lots of nest which was very tender
We also had duck chef special of crispy roast duck, special noodles, egg fried rice.
All well presented and at a good price
