We have been eating Amigos since it opened. Initially we only ordered takeaways, which sometimes took a long time to arrive (but were worth the wait). I must include that delivery times have significantly improved and the food normally arrives very quickly. Since moving to the larger venue, we frequently eat out in Amigos. The food is great value for money for a meal out. The portions are just right - not at all stingy - and if you have any leftovers the staff are happy to bag it up to take home. There is no charge for bringing your own alcohol, and the staff happily supply bottle openers. The takeaway deal is good value for money and always leaves us stuffed. All around tasty food! The restaurant decor is a bit plain, but it is very clean. For the price range of the food I am not paying for ambience and in the evenings, the tables soon fill up creating a vibrant atmosphere.

To survive in this part of town the food has to be good and I think Amigo's will be here for a long time. Really busy and we managed to get a table (5.30 on Sat night) but only just. We ordered Nachos to start, a burrito, enchilada and tostadas with a side of chips and a diet coke. All for the bargain price of £24. We were all full and the meals were all hot, tasty and really fresh. Will return, but will be sure to book a table to be certain!

Excellant quick efficient service!.. Tuesday evening, very busy, but no delay in service, bring your own beer etc, Steers Beers bang opposite so easy to pick some up!... Colourful, spicy food, Taco Tray to start... Absolutely brilliant, lots of choice, comfortable, not pretentious surroundings, but clean and not fussy!... Will definately be visiting again... Soon!!!!

We went to amigos when it was in smaller premises and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. We recently returned to new restaurant which is much bigger. It wasn't so busy and the atmosphere had gone because it was painted all White and reminded me of school canteen. Food was excellent but all the great offers had gone. Service was quite slow to say how quiet it was.

Been several times. Decor is ok, not offensive to my refined sensibilities I have to say. Restaurant is large, airy..and cold. Seriously needs heating up. Is the heating switched on at all at lunchtime? Seems not, it is necessary to keep your coat on throughout the visit..or until you start eating anyway. When you do eat, you see just how good the food is. Veggie burrito, veggie chimichanga, they will even take the chesse n cream out for vegans like my good self. Huge, satisfying and very very tasty. Ten out of ten for food, with a side salad and bowls with 3 dips too...salad cream or mayonnaise, chilli n cucumber, and a green sauce , guacamole.
The waiters will make your dish extra hot, oddly, it being a Mexican restaurant, I need to do it every time. Maybe they think Brits do not like spices.Service.....an East European lady has a vibe of irritability about her.
