Booked two nights before went.Close to motorway exit which is always a plus.Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. There was a three course meal with the deal and must say it was gorgeous and plenty of it.The breakfast was also worth waiting for.Hotel room was clean and comfy with plenty of extras. Will certaintly return to the hotel another day.

Room Tip: Think all rooms are basically the same.Very quiet room.

This is an unusual hotel - the medieval hall is tucked inside a new building! Personally I'd prefer them to make more of the history, but overall its well done.

The Reception staff were welcoming and friendly, and our room had clearly been recently refurbished, so was lovely, if rather tucked away. The plumbing did make some alarming noises in the morning though, but otherwise we were undisturbed.

Breakfast was excellent - self serve for continental, but service for the hot items. A good choice, nicely presented.

We'd certainly stay again - Rother Valley Country Park is just down the road if you want a pleasant walk, and Sheffield just the other way.

We held our daughter's wedding at this hotel. The venue looked amazing for both the ceremony and reception and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient, particularly the Event Management team who went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. We and many of our guests stayed over at the hotel and found the rooms clean and comfortable, in all we would definitely recommend Mosborough Hall for your special celebration.

I stayed at the hotel with my 1yr old, 7yr old, husband and in-laws (both pensioners). The reception staff were excellent and responsive to any help we needed and the hotel itself is a lovely old building with a well done modern build around it. Ideally located for the Peak District if you can't get a hotel in Bakewell/Buxton etc. HOWEVER.....the restaurante service was abysmal and we commented that the food took so long to arrive they clearly only had one frying pan and saucepan to cook with!! A shame as it let meal times become an ordeal rather than a pleasure.

This hotel high above Sheffield Centre is one of the best Best Western hotels i have stayed at.
The hotel has considerable charm set in nice grounds and is excellently maintained and well-kept and has the feeling you are staying in a country pile.
The staff really went out your way to make your stay special, friendly, attentive they served you with a smile. A great start to the stay.
The rooms are of average size, desk, soft chairs, queen bed, flat screen TV. Free WiFi.
The bathroom was a decent size and has a few extras you want in the room like tea\coffee\biscuits.
The breakfast selection was good, nice English Breakfast and average cost £12.95 with continental a cheaper £7.95.
They do a great bar menu and afternoon tea selection which i tried and clotted cream scones - in South Yorkshire! Lovely!
The bar is excellent with some good beers and the bar and lounge areas had a new and olde worlde feel about them
Very quiet location, good for a short drive to Sheffield Arena or Meadowhall.
Tram Park and Ride just down the road.
But its so easy from this hotel to drive into Central Sheffield.
I really recommend this Best Western.
Visit the City, stay in the country!

We visited with two dogs - a Jack Russel and a Labrador. Both made very welcome and staff came to say hello.
Not allowed in Bar or Restaurant but can bring them into Lounge area.
You get allocated a higher floor room.

Stayed overnight for wedding

Hotel and staff excellent, but prices charged for drinks, very expensive
3 glasses of wine 25.00

Ordered cooked breakfasts, but very disappointed as food really overcooked and porridge un edible, very disappointing , as previous stay earlier in year food was wonderful,
Ordered snacks and coffee. In lobby and again prices exceedingly high

Would still recommend hotel, but management should look to quality and pricing for snacks and drinks, and quality of breakfast
