Our friends booked a table for 7 without any difficulty for 7.30 on a Friday evening. The car parking was good and access to the restaurant also. We had time for a drink in the bar and were shown to our table. The place was pretty busy but, we were dealt with promptly and all the staff were polite and friendly.
Our table was well situated and there was enough room for all, good comfy seats and the menu was quite varied. The waiter was great and put everyone at ease, helping us all to decide our choices from an unfamiliar menu. The food was well presented, hot and tasted good. We all enjoyed our dishes. Some had puddings, some moved on to coffees.
All in all ,we had a lovely relaxed evening, chatting away to each other, enjoying the whole thing. We would definitely go there again.
I often have trouble hearing people speak due to background noise in pubs and restaurants but the noise level here was not an issue. Other diners were relaxed and friendly and there were some quite young children present..

We got there at 5.55pm and we’re allowed to take advantage of the lunch menu as it serves til 6pm. I had salmon tacos, hubby had carrot and orange soup - both really tasty and well presented. Mains - 2 fish finger sarnies, came with fries. Really good but I would’ve preferred a choice of bread, only because it comes on ciabatta which dwarfed the three fish fingers, personal choice that’s all. Two drinks, and cost £32. Good menu, also has vegan choices which is great for us as our daughter is vegan and we struggle sometimes to dine out as a family. Staff were friendly, nice pub and good outside seating, nice for family, date night or dinner with the girls. Pleasantly surprised

On a lovely sunny sunday we thought we would have a bike ride out to the mossbrook inn. Lovely location, very nice. Today we had sunday lunch roast beef presented very nice until i came to cut into the beef ......fat ... fat. No meat!!! Very little. How could the chef ever present this plate of food to anyone. The veg and yorkshire pudding( although very big)were lovely. I complained to the waitress who spoke to the landlord and chef. They were very apologetic .They offered free deserts but we refused. We were offered a free drink instead which we accepted. Thank you. All i want to say is you need to look at the food you are serving and think would you eat this and is it acceptable.

Went here for a birthday do with friends. Shown to a nice round table. Easy to talk. We got drinks at the bar before. Ordered our food and some more drinks. Asked where our drinks were. When the starters came asked whether we needed to go to the bar for our drinks? Eventually our drinks arrived. Nice but messy salmon tacos. The other starters were somewhat underwhelming. The portobello mushroom in Cropwell bishop sauce was a chopped up mushroom(?!) in pretty much its own juices. The lobster and king prawn pot was nice except you couldn’t spread it on the limited ciabatta. Where was the crab fraiche? The pepper squid was disappointingly luke warm. The mains were better. Shame they didn’t even offer us the specials though (!). Some of us would have had the lamb. Had the burger with bacon and blue cheese. Nice, but had to eat it with a knife and fork as it disassembled. Lovely belly pork with crackling. Lovely spicy southern fried chicken. Sweets were pretty good. The bomb blew us away. Sticky toffee was ok. Cheese board was disappointing; mostly boring cheeses but nice biscuits and bits. Shame they didn’t have a decent port to go with it. Overall the service was random to poor. Each time we ordered drinks we had to ask and ask again before they arrived. It wasn’t even as though they were busy. Won’t rush back here again.
