Stopped here a few times and impressed by high quality of rooms, enthusiastic staff and location.
Rooms are large and clean.
Breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. No skimping on the quality.
Prices are similar to Premier Inn but the experience is on a different level.
Just try it.

I stayed here as I was on a course in the city and so travelled alone. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely excellent. I would definately recommend this to anyone staying in Sheffield as a brilliant hotel with good value for money! I will be staying again! Thank you.

The hotel itself is modern and stylish which is a little out of keeping with the general area around it. But, for me, that did not matter as the walk to the office was only about five minutes.

On arrival the reception staff were friendly and polite and check-in was a breeze. The lifts were clean and despite the snow outside there were no wet footprints or slippery areas at all.

Room 726 is at the end of the corridor on the top floor so was pretty quiet with no foot traffic which was nice. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the room; it was larger than I had expected, the bed was a good size and the bathroom was very clean and modern.

In terms of eating in the hotel I had room service which was fairly prompt - the food arrived hot, the restaurant had a nice atmosphere in the evening and I enjoyed a lovely breast of chicken. I also ate in the bar, most of the food available was the same as in the restaurant and there are plenty of tables to choose from.

Breakfast, again, was nice. I was promptly greeted and shown to my seat and they are more than happy to whip up something for you such as poached eggs or porridge if requested. The food was the usual English full breakfast as well as pastries, cereal and toast with a selection of fruit.

The fitness room was not quiet what I had expected but then they never claimed to have a full gym, so contrary to what another reviewer had written, I wouldn't ridicule it. They have three resistance machines, two cross trainers and a treadmill. The cardio equipment are all new and interactive. There is also a television so you can listen to the radio or watch a programme while working out. You also get a complimentary bottle of water when picking up the room card for the fitness room.

I would recommend this hotel as I could find nothing to fault with it - staff are professional, room is clean and comfortable and the food is of a high standard.

When visiting Sheffield next, for work or pleasure, I would stay here again.

Room Tip: General tip: try and get a room at the end of the corridor which is further away from the lifts and...

We were very satisfied with our 3 days stay at this hotel.
The hotel is modern with nice clean rooms that offer all the amenities needed.
It''s a good central location and there is no problem to park your car adjacent to the hotel.
Very convenient.

Stayed here twice, booked in here last time for daughters graduation. Good location, easy check in, helpful staff. Seems to be the place for visitng football teams to stay for obvious reasons!

Didn't eat in the restaurant ( which is open plan next to the bar area ) but we did have bar food, nice seating area. Good bar plenty of choice.

Comfortable beds, nice sylish modern decor in the rooms.

Good breakfast, chef was happy to poach some eggs for me as I didn't want scrambled or fried and he brought them to my table.

First stayed here in 2009 and I'm delighted to report that things are just as good if not better now. I have always found staff courteous and helpful; if you've a problem say something - they are not mind-readers. The rooms remain very well appointed (if a little underlit?) - there are extra pillows and blankets in the cupboards. The bar is pleasant and stocks locally brewed Yorkshire ales. Breakfast was excellent - the best scrambled egg I've had for ages - and I'm pleased to say tea is no longer from the large pot that used to come round. Overall it remains a very good value for money hotel in Sheffield.

Room Tip: Match days get busy in the hotel and outside with the car park so check the football fixtures if you...

The location of the hotel and the price (£45) was that made us stay here though despite the price this hotel had been awarded 4 stars. This hotel is anything but 4 stars. The reception staff were uninterested and failed to help us with our baggage. The "double" bed was in fact 2 single beds pushed together which mean there was a lump in the middle in fact the whole bed was lumpy and sank in places. The bathroom was clean and modern though there was only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel despite booking a room for 2 people. There was a lot of noise from outside of the room which ranged from loud music to banging and people shouting in the corridors which ultimately disturbed our sleep. We'd booked a hotel which was sold to us as a 4 star but at a 3 star price.... realistically it was only a 3 star and lacked finishing touches.
