Booked for one night in March for somewhere to sleep after a night out. £50 for a double room. Not much to say really, it's your typical, institutional chain hotel. Not great for a romantic getaway but perfect for a cheap place to sleep. It is only a 5/10min walk from the railway station. The building is brand new and well fitted out. On check-in it seemed very busy but we were served pretty quickly. Room was spacious and clean, tv worked, shower was good and our 7th floor window had a pretty cool view over Brammall Lane and the rest of the city. Only real complaint was that despite the size of the room, the 'double' bed was really a queen, and as a sizable bloke I often find it hard to find the space to sleep. Fortunately in this case there was a second single bed in the room.

Can't comment about value for money as all the hotel rates around Sheffield were hiked up during my stay due to a large conference in town.

Room was no-frills, but clean and modern and beds were comfortable. Service at reception was prompt and efficient.

My only criticism was the road noise outside on Eyre Street. Even with the windows closed on the 3rd floor, the sound of the traffic, particularly buses and lorries, was quite noticeable. As the hotel is situated on a busy main route, this continued well in to the small hours.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms at the front of the hotel on Eyre Street to ensure a peaceful night's sleep.

3 night stay, staff helpful and friendly, check in easy, room tidy and comfortable.
Nothing really negative to say, breakfast was average with a good choice, well stocked bar and not to expensive, never had an evening meal so cannot comment but other people with me said it was quite nice. I would return again

Got a very good advance booking deal and although there were a lot of hen & stag type parties booking in we were not disturbed by any noise during our stay. They were able to amend our booking to a twin room and the staff were very helpful. Great deal on the recommended car park - £4.00 for 24 hours. 5 mins walk from town so lots of choices for breaky if you don't want to pay £10 in the hotel. Would stay again.

I stayed here for one night in March 2013. I had met up with a friend that evening and had a meeting the following day. The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located for both the station and the city centre, and jt is very modern and nicely presented. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A good security measure they have in place is that you need your key card to access the lifts from the ground floor - which helps ensure that only residents, or their accompanied guests, can wander upstairs. The room I had was good sized (I wanted a double for single occupancy and got a double and a single) and again nicely furnished and decorated. The room was very quiet - none of the slamming doors down the corridor that you sometimes have to put up with - and the bed was comfortable.

Food and drink here is good - there is a good sized (and again modern) bar which also sells Costa Coffee, and the breakfast was very fresh with a great selection of hot and cold options. It is 100% self-service, including drinks, which might not suit everyone but was fine with me.

The only slight gripe I have is that the dining room, which was quite busy when I went for breakfast, felt a bit noisy and crowded.

But overall a great hotel and one I would choose when I am in Sheffield again.

Good location. Not far from night life area (West St) 5 min walk..... Or £3.70 in cab as partner in new heels!!!!

Parking nearby and discounted parking with token validation from hotel desk. (£4 for 24 hours).

Rooms of good standard for price range. Very good breakfast.

Room was pleasantly quiet. We stayed on a Friday night and was expecting some noise for the late night drunken arrivals as normally expect from these types of hotels, but never heard a thing!! Also we were to the back of the hotel, and heard no road noise/sirens etc.

Would recommend and definitely stay there again.
