I adore Kyrenia and have been going there for many years (it celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2011). The meze in particular is fantastic - great for sharing or if you can't decide what to have. It's easy to fill up on pittas, dips and tasty nibbles on the first course (the hummus and tzatziki are particularly good) but save yourself as there's plenty to come. I'd recommend ordering some octopus to come out with the second course as it's especially good there but make sure you leave room for the kleftiko which is fabulous - it just falls off the bone and is incredibly succulent. If you run out of space they'll happily sort out a doggy bag for you, too.
The wine list is short but tasty with some excellent Greek wines and if you have the capacity for it a bottle of dessert wine - either the mavrodaphne which is rich and a bit port-like or, if you have a sweet tooth, the commandaria. And if you can't finish the bottle they will pop the cork back in for you to take the rest home.
The service is always warm and welcoming, though upstairs always feels a little bit out of the buzz. Just a fabulous place, great with friends or as a couple.
