We have been consistently impressed on every visit to the Tamarind Tree, the welcome is always warm, the restaurant is spotless and the menu varied and exciting. Over the past year we have tried so many new dishes recommended by the friendly waiting staff, all of which have been delicious. The lamb tikka methi is well worth a trip!

In fairness to the staff at the Tamarind Tree, this was clearly a difficult evening for them with a senior member of the team going to hospital. The service was slow but expected in the circumstances and the food not as good as previous visits where the ideas and cooking have been fresh and something different to the 'standard' curry. We have eaten here on a number of occasions but not for about a year. Lets hope this was a one off

This restaurant has been consistently excellent every time I have been there (at least ten times in the last two years). I am always impressed by the sparkling table settings and the spotlessly clean restaurant and facilities. The menu has a good selection of dishes, with several suitable for vegetarians. I always start with papadoms with a selection of chutneys, then a vegetable samosa or onion bhajee and perhaps a vegetable papri, (fresh vegetables in a mild sauce). My husband is a fan of the lamb korma (lamb cooked in freshly ground spices with spinach) and the chicken tikka massala. We particularly like the Sunday buffet.
Good food, pleasant service, very reasonable prices, spotless - an altogether happy experience!

Ate here for the first time last week and was very impressed...the food was delicious and the best curry I have had in a very long time. Onion bhajis to die for!

The decor was nice and modern too..if a little tired in places. The service was good without being excellent but no complaints. We have certainly found our new favourite Indian restaurant in the area. We live in Purley so used to go to Miahs in Pangbourne but it is definitely worth going the extra couple of miles to the Tamarind Tree.
