I personally found this to be a terrible hotel, the reception area smelled as though there had been damp there for a significant period of time. There were several skips dotted about the area, and what seemed to be abandoned building equipment. The owners seemed to live in a house in the back garden of what seemed to be a pretty poor victorian house, and there was a rundown bungalow in front of the hotel with a group of Bulgarian men living in it. TV's were very dodgy, with signals seemingly provided by a wires from 4 freeview boxes somewhere - which then gradually went into standby mode so that at the end of the evening there was only one channel which worked.
The pillows I had were so thin I may as well have used the towels to rest my head on and I couldn't sleep all night. On my second night I asked for two more pillows and was told that these were fine, no one else had complained - eventually I had someone grumpily drop two pillows off.
Shower was so poor that it felt like taking a shower under a dribble. Water temperature varied whenever someone elsewhere in the hotel turned a tap on or had a shower themselves - to the point where at one stage I had virtually no water coming out at all!!
Breakfast was served by two absent eastern Europeans who constantly misunderstood what was being said and took over an hour to be served!! When I said something to the manager (an Asian guy called Ruby who owned the place) he got angry and said it was my fault!! Pathetic customer service in my view and the sooner this place calls it a day the better in my opinion!! I'll be avoiding this place like the plague in future and telling everyone I know to do likewise!!
