I personally found this to be a terrible hotel, the reception area smelled as though there had been damp there for a significant period of time. There were several skips dotted about the area, and what seemed to be abandoned building equipment. The owners seemed to live in a house in the back garden of what seemed to be a pretty poor victorian house, and there was a rundown bungalow in front of the hotel with a group of Bulgarian men living in it. TV's were very dodgy, with signals seemingly provided by a wires from 4 freeview boxes somewhere - which then gradually went into standby mode so that at the end of the evening there was only one channel which worked.
The pillows I had were so thin I may as well have used the towels to rest my head on and I couldn't sleep all night. On my second night I asked for two more pillows and was told that these were fine, no one else had complained - eventually I had someone grumpily drop two pillows off.
Shower was so poor that it felt like taking a shower under a dribble. Water temperature varied whenever someone elsewhere in the hotel turned a tap on or had a shower themselves - to the point where at one stage I had virtually no water coming out at all!!

Breakfast was served by two absent eastern Europeans who constantly misunderstood what was being said and took over an hour to be served!! When I said something to the manager (an Asian guy called Ruby who owned the place) he got angry and said it was my fault!! Pathetic customer service in my view and the sooner this place calls it a day the better in my opinion!! I'll be avoiding this place like the plague in future and telling everyone I know to do likewise!!

Room Tip: Don't book anything here or at the Parkside would be my advice - same people - same crummy attit...

I had read mixed reviews about this hotel but went with an open mind. Unfortunately i had to agree with the poor reviews i had read. The first thing i noticed was the car park was overgrown with weeds and it was like a building site! Surely it would be best for them to close while refurbishing the place. No-one on reception at any time i was staying, everything was done within the hotel next door and therefore I didn't feel very safe being a solo female traveller, especially with the rowdy group of lads staying at the same time, who had no respect for other people. The room had a lot of cobwebs, carpet was dirty, and empty toiletry bottles left in the shower. The TV was rather strange, extremely small, limited channels and didn't even know which channel i was watching!
After working all day i was expecting to have a drink and meal but this all went on in the hotel next door and the restaurant didn't open until 7, no bar snacks available, so ended up going to the local supermarket to eat. The website does not mention that the hotel next door was used for all amenities.
The good thing was that internet access was good and free!

Hotel looked pleasant enough but car park had an open skip and there were broken bottles lying around. We were given the key to our room only to find that it was already occupied. Another room was found for us - the bed was made but the room itself didn't appear to have been cleaned. The carpet needed hoovering. The mirrors were dirty especially the bathroom mirror which was filthy. The 'flush' button on the toilet was broken. The toilet roll holder was broken. The toilet seat was broken. On the positive side the cooked breakfast was good, the waitress was very pleasant. A shame that tea wasn't available. Would we return- no!

Hotel seems like it has not been finished yet - the property is in a large courtyard with machinery in the yard so it looks rather unfinished. Entering the hotel you ring the bell for attention and while waiting you have time to enjoy the rather dubious smell that hangs around the hallway.

As for the rooms itself, the bed is comfy but I had to sweep away the large cobwebs that were hanging above the bed before I felt able to sleep. There was tea and coffee making facilities and a TV but the it was only tuned to ITV1 and the remote did not work.

The shower was average to say the least however things took a turn for the worst when I tried to change flow of water and the shower only sent out cold water, one way to wake up of a morning!

We were booked in on a B&B basis but decided to miss the option of a cooked breakfast. As it was, the toast arrived cold and slightly burnt and the coffee was totally disgusting.

Room Tip: Attic rooms are the worst.
