Nice place, but expensive for just a wander around a park. Very suitable for young families (under 10's) for a good afternoon of fresh air!

I've been to Wellington C P several times over the years and each time there seems to be something different for the children to see or do. We are lucky enough to have this beautiful park on our doorstep, I just wish it wasn't so expensive and I'd visit much more often. The little farm is great and the train ride for little ones is nice but you shouldn't be charged extra for it considering the entrance fee.

The activities for the kids which included: 2 different large play areas, crazy bicycles, miniature train ride, kids jeep track, toy/activity shop. Good value for money.

Shame there was nothing to do by the lake section which seemed in disrepair.

Surprised to have to pay. These things are normally free. Son not allowed to bring his bike in. Strange. Probably OK for under 5's. Nothing much to offer anyone else. Alice Holt is much better.

The reviewer is absolutely correct when they say that Wellington Country Park appears to be set up with children in mind' as that is exactly where we position ourselves! However we do know that some adults have fun too!

We offer one of the biggest outdoor play areas in Berkshire where we have a range and assortment of play equipment which challenge children both physically and mentally, where children learn to socialise and communicate and develop their personal skills in an environment that is safe, clean and well maintained.

We advertise our Park as being suitable for children up to the age of 10 and where families can bond in a healthy outdoor environment and enjoy play!

Having said that, it is a beautiful landscaped Park with mature woodlands and lake that offers a number of other activities for young and old. This includes an animal farm, crazy golf and several nature trails, which allow close contact with our red and fallow deer.

The wildlife on show offers a varied selection of birdlife including the less common wigeon, pochard and kingfisher and a host of woodland animals and minibeasts to investigate and explore.

You can of course walk in some other beautiful areas in the county, but safety, cleanliness, vandalism, graffiti ..............

The National Trust do have some fantastic sites to visit, but the true cost to them is not only through entrance fees but grants and funding that we all contribute to, whether we use them or not.

We just offer a different type of facility which many thousands of others enjoy as much as the reviewer obviously enjoys National Trust sites.

Took my partners niece and nephew there a few weeks ago and they loved it! Quite expensive but worth it. The park is massive and we only managed half of it. The petting zoo is amazing, needs more animals but what there is the staff treat well. The train ride is okay, but expensive for how long it is. The children loved the amount of play areas there are and how big they were.
