Despite living in this area for several years we had never noticed the Med Caffe or even knew of its existence. It was only a tripadvisor search that alerted us to a great local place to eat and the reviewers were absolutely right.
There was a delay of a few minutes when we first arrived but we were later told this was due to a member of staff not arriving that day. We noticed that the portions around us were on the large side so we decided on a starter of antipasto and a pizza between the two of us. Both were delivered promptly and with a smile - the lack of staff certainly didnt have any impact as far as we, as customers, were concerned. There isnt much to a plate of antipasto but it was nicely presented and contained a nice range of items. The pizza, however, was perfectly cooked with a good amount of toppings and was easily the best I have had in Reading. Since we had shared our main we just had room for a couple of the desserts. The menu is slightly limited but both of our choices were lovely and, once again, nicely presented. I have to admit that I struggled to finish mine.
When asked we were told that they would create half portions of any of the dishes for children, so its somewhere that we would definitely go back to with our daughter.
If I was to make any suggestion for this place it would be to advertise your childrens options on the website, since we wouldn't have gone as a family, and perhaps to introduce a (set) lunch menu option with slightly smaller portions.
Total cost for us was £25 including 3 soft drinks.
