“Vive la difference!”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

Perhaps I am using the French incorrectly here. What I mean is this: there are SO. MANY. CHAIN. RESTAURANTS. in Reading. Someday I won't be surprised to go into a Pizza Express and find a Starbucks inside it.

Tutu's is unique, and it does so with style and quality. I took six of my (possibly hesitant) work colleagues here for dinner during a training event in Reading. They all loved it start to finish, from the choosy Italian to the vegetarians and the "I'll eat anything" Canadian. The food is amazing and as close to authentic Ethiopian as you can get (so the injera isn't made using Teff, but it tastes almost the same - I have been to Ethiopia). The beer selection is second to none, and there's plenty of food for vegetarians and even vegans.

Topped off with friendly service from the kitchen and from star French waiter Michel (Michael?), I fully recommend Tutu's.

“Filling, but limited in choice..”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Had buffet dinner (£10.95) on a Thurs evening. The food was wholesome and tasty but was not a lot to choose from with 5 or 6 seperate items. It was wholesome & filling none the less as I didn't really know what to expect. Would go back & try a different night.

“Delicious, wonderful experience!”
Reviewed April 13, 2013 via mobile

Chose this restaurant for our after-conference dinner based on trip advisor reviews and it was a lovely. Everyone enjoyed their dishes; The Ethiopian nation dish, lentils, and greenbeans were delicious. Our companions, veterans of Ethiopian dining, found the food not as spicey as authentic Ethiopian food but still found it to be delicious. We would all definitely go back in a heartbeat.
