“Excellent bar manager!”

We visited for our first Pantomime! Its a nice venue. The sound for the production was too loud for a Pantomime, comfortable seating, good viewing position - all in all good. Toilets need updating (with working hand heaters!). A wider food offering would be good especially when visitin with children - chocolate, popcorn and crips are not the only things kids eat!

The scottish bar manger was outstanding! Very helpful, very friendly, lovely, lovely man! A real asset.

Took Mum here for her birthday to see the Russian Ballet perform The Nutcracker. Excellent show but the down side was the dimly lit walk from town to the venue. The local authorities need to spend some cash to make this area more pleasant and perhaps the Hexagon would increase their booking office takings!

We had seats on the front row of the balcony left of the stage the veiw was great. 10cc did an acoustic set which was amazing took a break after 1/2 an hour and returned to do all the hits.

Really enjoyable evening, super talented band.

Only word of warning - avoid the hackey cabs! So expensive - we got a private hire going for £7 same journey in a hackney can £12! What a rip off.

The range of shows at the Hexagon means that there are often events that you'd like to attend. The seating is comfortable and you have a pretty good view of the stage from virtually everywhere. On-line booking is pretty easy and by sigining up you get good early warning of up-coming events.

The Hexagon is an intimate venue for comedy, entertainment, Psychics and snooker! It feels like it has fallen out of the seventies and still wears it's flared trousers and platform shoes...

I found access a little confusing from the nearby car park (access is just past the police station). Once in, the seating was fine, great view, easy access and plenty of atmosphere for a night out.

Sally was on fire, although I didn't have any spirits interested in chatting to me... Phew!

I think the facilities in the venue are all you need, the bar is very normal, and if you want to avoid the interval queues, order in advance and you'll be given a receipt with a number on it... Which corresponds to the place your drinks will be (around the walls of the bar) at interval time.

Fun night out for me, emotional for many others. Would definitely go back to both - in fact I'm taking my daughter to Horrible Histories at the Hexagon soon.
