“A Wonderfully Cosy Guest House”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

If you're planning a trip to Woodstock this should be your only choice of Guest House. We stayed for one night to visit Blenheim Palace and Bicester. The level of customer service is excellent, the rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable and the tea room is very quant, offering fresh, home baked cakes and a wide choice of teas. Best of all you can have afternoon tea with "big Ted" and "little Ted". Breakfast is wonderful, lots of choice. We would stay here again if returning to Woodstock.

Booked two nights B&B lovely tea room and guest house, lots of choice for breakfast, we also used the tea room after our visit to Blenheim Palace. Room was clean not much storage if staying longer than a few nights. Good value for money and very friendly.

We had one lovely night stay at the Blenheim Guest House. The room and bath were very clean. The morning breakfast was delicious. Also, the toasties for lunch are good. We had cheese and onions. We would stay here again if staying in Woodstock.

We visited the tea rooms with our ten-month old baby for an early lunch. Unlike many local establishments, this tea room is open for food between 11-12pm. The food was delicious, the coffee fresh and tasty and the cake was to die for. They were incredibly helpful with our baby, cleaning the highchair for us (something few places bother to do) and giving us some extra bread for her to eat. They also had lots of toys to play with. The decor is a bit tired; very chintzy, battered and faded in places, but service and quality could not be faulted. It's also a great location; literally less than a minute's walk from the 'side' entrance to Blenheim palace. Definitely worth a visit, and don't be put off by the exterior.

We booked this guest house at the last minute to avoid camping at a festival we were attending nearby. We were attracted by the location and price both of which were good. This guest house is smack bam in the middle of stunning Woodstock, making it ideal for Blenheim Palace, Woodstock and the Cotswolds. The tea rooms and guest rooms are all a bit tired and in need of a makeover. There was plenty of teddies in tea room and fabulous faded chintz in the bedroom. However it was clean, comfortable and much nicer than a tent on this chilly September night!

We only stayed one night and it was fine. No use if you can't climb stairs and the room was small the shower was even smaller. Note that there is NO parking and as you can imagine the streets were very busy. Lovely breakfast and really nice staff so not all bad. If you want a reasonable stay in Woodstock for a visit to the Palace then it's fine but if you like modern and tidy then this is not for you.

Room Tip: No A/C in any of the rooms and during this Summer it was very hot. The dustbin lorries come around...

Small cozy guest house situated above the tea a rooms. Room was very comfortable with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Great breakfasts cooked fresh to order. The GuestnHouse is situated just by the Woodstcock Gate into Bleinheim Palace. Handy tip as on street parking is limited we spoke to the guys on the gate and they let us park our car in their staff parking area. Woodstock is a lovely little town with plenty of choice to eat and drink. Highly recommended.
