My partner and I visited la cucina for a lazy lunch one Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was virtually full (always a good sign) yet we were still welcomed almost immediately and shown to a table quickly. Drinks were perhaps a little pricy, a very small coke was £2. We shared a starter of Parma ham with deep fried mini dough balls, beautifully simple but good quality ingredients. Next we had two "bianche" pizzas. These really were sublime. Fresh good quality ingredients again, lovely spicy chilli oil and perfectly balanced flavours. Managed to squeeze in a tiramisu and an Italian hot chocolate for pud, and because my partner was too full to finish hers they knocked it off the bill! One of the best things about this restaurant was the service we received. Being young, we often find that we receive poor service, however the owner/manager who served us and her staff were all attentive and friendly. Thankyou la cucina, we look forward to seeing you again very soon!
