I only visit here rarely, but when I am in Oxford it is a must. Delightful staff, and gorgeous food. The magret de canard was to die for. I have been enjoying meals here for many years now, and the quality is remarkable. Good, honest, fresh food, and for the standard, reasonably priced.

We arrived at 6.00pm just as the restaurant opened for the evening and before long every table had been taken.
The food was excellent. We had the Assiette Viandes followed by the cheese plate accompanied by a nice bottle of Malbec.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout.
Can't fault the place, it was excellent.

This was one of my best gastronomic experiences ever in the world.. Friday night, busy, jammed tight, lively yet romantic.Fabulous. Thankyou thankyou Tripadvisor. Shared a starter which was amazing-not sure what some of it was but went for it-so glad that I did.Moroccan Lamb was to die for & the steak & frites was a plate filling portion cooked perfectly. After a break, we chose the Chocolate fondue with Strawberries, Pineapple, Orange, Banana & Marshmallow. A bowl licking exercise if ever there was. Wines & drinks were very reasonable. I am so glad that we used the Park & Ride which was just around the corner. What is there about Pierre Victoire that you cannot possibly not fall in love with. Best you book, it is very very popular.

Great food and relaxed atmosphere. The place is fronted entirely by French speaking staff which does make you feel like you've stepped into a small part of France within Oxford. Prices are very reasonable, 3 courses for around £25 and good wines at sensible prices.

Agree with Tiffany - we had a great time here and find some of the other reviews hard to believe. Service was a bit slow but they were busy - on a Monday night- and the owner apologised profusely but we were in no hurry anyway. Classic simple French food - excellent steak frites- decent wine at good prices. It has no pretensions of being anything other than a really good French restaurant and it certainly achieves that.
