“Nice lunch.”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

We visited Pierre Victoire knowing that it would have a reasonable set menu and had a good reputation. We were not disappointed. However on this particular day the set menu seemed to be for three courses and not two. We didn't really want three but couldn't see another option. The food was great, the atmosphere pleasingly French. The food was tasty, the desserts in prticular very good.

Another visit you our favourite restaurant in Oxford. Our daughters 21st went brilliantly well. All 16 guests were very well looked after, fantastic food coupled with outstanding service. A big thank you to all the staff at PV! Great job see you very soon

“Go for the set lunch”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Oxford is a good city for eating out but you have to be prepared to go off the main streets. If you are a visitor to the city, it is a lovely five minute walk from the centre to little Clarendon street and you will see a lot of interesting buildings and monuments on the way.
Pierre Victoire is good at all times, but the set lunch offers exceptional value. Save room for dessert, they are delicious!
Yesterday my friend and I enjoyed two courses for eight pounds. My risotto main was good but my friends crepes with ham and spinach was out of this world. For dessert I had chocolate and hazelnut fondant which was delicious and a huge portion. My friends strawberry mousse was also excellent. The service is always friendly and I like the relaxed atmosphere.

“Delicious food and great value for money”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

You can always rely on Pierre Victoire for a great evening. We went there last night for a family celebration and as usual, were not disappointed. The restaurant is always busy and has a fun and buzzy atmosphere. Service is always friendly, efficient and attentive and the menu is extensive. From Sunday to Friday they offer a 3-course dinner for £22.00, with most selections from the menu being available. The food is always delicious and imaginative with good-sized portions and is nicely presented. Pierre Victoire really puts some of the more expensive Oxford restaurants to shame with the quality and price of its food. Don't miss it, but remember to book as it is pretty much full every night.

“Good value, good food”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

Excellent French restaurant, near the centre of Oxford.

Food was very good, our only complaint of 4 starters and 4 mains and 2 desserts was that my seafood ragout had 2 "dead" unopened mussels out of the 6 in the dish, the only pieces of salmon and cod were just that single pieces and were stamp sized and 2 prawns and the rest of the dish was courgette slices. the base "soup" was delicious though.
