Our second visit. Always busy - feels like you are sat in the middle of the hustle & bustle of a market. We always book ahead. The decor is very basic. The staff are always polite and service is quick though and the food good (my wife just loves the onion bhaji ) and well priced

Shared starter was great (included veggie option and fab flavours) but main course dishes were lukewarm and not as good. Grumpy waiter, bright lighting and noisy room meant a lack of atmosphere. Not sure I'd return

No frills and rather noisy due to lack of soft furnishings, but food was delicious and generous. Unusual Lemon Rice was perfect with Sobzi Podina, a wonderfully spiced vegetable dish, accompanied by an equally tasty side of chick peas and aubergines. Distinctive flavours and prompt service at generally sensible prices, although as the non-drinker I felt very ripped off having to pay £3.70 for a large(ish) bottle of fizzy water when they charge exactly the same for a pint of Cobra.

The roasted spices were mixed perfectly to a well balanced heat that we much enjoyed. Attentive staff and smooth service in this Clean and no fuss restaurant.

we went to chutneys for new years eve lunch, we go every year but normally early evening, we booked a table for 1pm when we arrived no was around to show us to our table, so we just took the one in the corner for a bit of privacy, we were then waiting for a waiter to come and ask us if we would like a drink and to give us a menu, my hubby had to ask for both, we were given a card with business express lunch, we were not happy with this but they were ok for us to have normal menu, we asked for some popadums which were very nice aslo pickle tray was good to, overall the food was good quality, but service very poor, we were last out and the two waiters just seemed to be waiting for us to go, they did wish us happy new year though, not really impressed
