It is easy to see this is a PUB managed by its owners: every detail was carefully thought of.
It is in a historical village worth visiting.
The selection of beers and ales is wide including some locally produced.
As it is winter, the fireplace was on.
My husband and I recommend having lunch there.

Went for a post-walk Friday lunch. Contacted via the smart web-site and had a speedy response from Sue. What started off as a possible 12 ended up as 22, but Sue warned that if we wanted to order and pay separately there might be a delay so we were ready. Sue and Steve, and the very pleasant lady behind the bar (sorry - no name) looked after us very well. Everyone commented on the quality of the food, and of course dear old Henry Wadworth never lets you down on the beer!
Good parking and spotless modern loos. Recommended!

Went recently for family meal for 6 of us and all meals and puddings were excellent and tasty. Service was very prompt and very friendly too. This pub has a wonderful atmosphere and we will definately be visiting again. Actually thinking of going New Year’s Eve to the Casino Evening as we loved this pub so much.

The Landlord (poor dude) is rather pleasant. However, any level of hospitality soon gets tossed out in the toilet once the Landlady, Sue, steps in! It's a wonder why this women is in the hospitality industry, as it is painfully clear that this woman has the human skills of crocodile! In the nutshell, this woman is horrible! Visit the Prince of Wales aT your own risk. The sooner the owners get rid of Sue, the sooner more customers would return to this otherwise a rather a nice local pub.
