“Mini Cooper Plant Tour”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

My husband dragged me along on this tour and I have to admit that I found it fascinating. The plant is highly innovative with robots that do most of the assembly.
The staff was very friendly and the tour is about 30 minutes long. I think kids from the age of 7 would find it interesting.

“Dancing robots”
Reviewed August 24, 2012

Fascinating place. Loved the welding robots in their cages. The ability to make totally different cars one after another with thousands of permutations. The design that had gone into making the production line efficient.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

The factory is a bit outside the city, but you can take the bus right across from the factory. It was only 15GBP for the 2-hour tour which was led by gentlemen that had retired after many years of service at the Mini factory. They were full of passion, stories, and facts about the cars that they loved and helped to create. My tour guide had designed some of the custom tools that they use to assemble the cars. We walked right along the line and it was impressive to see how they put each custom car together.

“Totally Cool!!!”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

I didn't expect much, having made the appointment to visit the factory to give my son something of interest to see. But it turns out that our visit to the Mini plant was one of the highlights of our trip. The three hour tour was fascinating: informative, cool, amazing! The complexity of the process, the high-tech machinery, the meticulousness, thoughtfulness and care of the entire process was spellbinding. It was fascinating to my entire family, girls and boys. Totally worth the time and effort.

“Industrial Heritage”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

A significantly different car plant than the old Morris factory - and undergoing further changes for a new production line. In the "T Building" a small display of vintage cars is mixed with new minis from the production line - Management generously provide meeting and conference facilities for community organisations.
