“Great value for money. Vast array of plants”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

Enjoyed walking round the greenhouses and looking at the tropical plants. We went on a really hot day and it was nice just to sit my the side of the river watching people punting. Good value for money.

“Lush and lovely”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

Right opposite Magdalen on the High (Street) and you can also reach it via a gentle stroll through Christ Church Meadow. Lots of thoughtful planting and places to sit and think, gaze or chat. The glass houses are particulary lush and lovely (and a nice, humid refuge in chilly weather).

“Good for a visit if you have a spare hour..”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

Lovely and well maintained tropical/glasshouses, but the gardens are very small for such a large city. Extremely disappointed to find that there was no cafe.

“Small but perfectly formed”
Reviewed July 11, 2012

Oxford Botanic Gardens are one of the first in the world. They are small but really interesting. On a sunny day they are magical. Even in bad weather the specimens are well worth seeing. The is one of the most important botical locations historically and should not be missed

“where is the cafe?”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

All other botanical gardens have a lovely cafe... why not this one?? Four pound entry for the day... at least a few hours respite from the maddening crowds of Oxford
