We go to the Cote in Cardiff on our regular trips there, and were pleased to see they were opening a branch in Oxford. We went on their second night of opening, and were a bit nervous that service might be a little disorganized, but we were wrong to be worried.
All the waiting staff were helpful and attentive, service was slick and well organized, with just about the right amount of time between courses. I had a lovely mushroom pastry parcel off the specials menu, followed by steak frites, and the husband had tuna carpacio, fish pie, and a hazelenut crepe. All impeccably cooked, and very tasty.
We had complimentary cocktails on arrival, and liquors to finish - not sure why we got this special treatment - but a lovely touch. Would thoroughly recommend.
