Owner description: Think about those books, the ones that you'll always go back to, those moments in life where you think 'that's a bit like that chapter' or 'you're just like that character', those are the stories we love. We don't just want to leave those books on the shelf though, we take them down, hand them around, share them out and bring them to life. All over Oxford we find unusual spaces - these stories aren't set in theatres so we don't put them there. Castles, antique mirror tents, college gardens, bookshops and factories... we'll go wherever the stories take us, and so far we've taken over 500,000 people with us. From the thousands of children who've told classic stories in new ways through our education programme, to our professional actors and directors, you're always most likely to find us lost in a good book. 18 years, 54 shows, half a million audience members aged 5-95...we are Oxford's own Creation Theatre Company.

Its in the name, they give a creative lift to any of the productions. They perform in odd locations, this keeps the price down and gives an edge to the performances

Brilliant! I'm going again this week. Excellent and talented cast. The genie of the ring stole the show for me - her acrobat skills, her singing, dancing and acting deserve an Oscar!

Just seen Aladdin at The North Wall theatre. This is a great production, witty, funny with a fantastic cast and a great script. The genie of the ring is something else! Great gymnastics.

As ever, Creation have scored a hit with this show. If you are in or near Oxford before 5 Jan, do yourself a favour and see the show.

Also, Creation need help. Because of the rain this summer, takings were down for their outdoor summer performances and they are in real danger of having to shut down. Going to their show will help to keep them in business - we need to be able to see them next summer, and winter!

We had a family trip to see Aladdin at the North Wall theatre and had a wonderful time. Ages from 11 to ... well, the other end of the scale! Much better than a traditional panto, with fantastic acting, singing, costumes and set. There's a teeny bit of subversion under the tradition that lifts the show from routine to really special, but the effects (made both ends of the age range jump!!) and the script kept the real heart of the story and avoided cliche.

That's too many adjectives, so go and see it for yourself. Buy some raffle tickets too and help keep Creation alive for Christmases (and summer Shakespeare) to come.

ps great pancakes!
