We arrived in Bath early morning, on a long weekend, and were looking for somewhere to have a spot of brunch. The Grapes looked promising, and we weren't disappointed. Inside it's a quaint little bar, beamed and with exposed walls, and floors that are a little up and downy, which made for some interesting table leg work, but we loved it! The pub was just beginning to fill up, and is clearly popular with locals and visitors alike.
We ordered a couple of the full English breakfasts, and they were delicious - the bacon in particular was very tasty, the eggs beautifully fried (no slimy bits!) and we didnt have long to wait (about 20 minutes). While we did wait, we had a couple of ciders, which were beautifully chillled. The barman on duty couldn't have been more hepful and was really working his socks off, serving food and drinks with equal good cheer.
A very welcoming venue whether for food or just a drink. Would definitely go back again.
