Excellent show spoilt only by poor sound quality in the start of both first and second part. Good seats in centre circle and great atmosphere. Very poor on the part of the theatre not to announce at the beginning that Jason Donovan was not appearing although advertised. Neither fair on the great understudy or the audience who had paid good money to see him, he wasnt appearing the following day we understand either.

Glad you enjoyed the show. We will feed back your comments re the sound to the production team. In terms of the casting, Jason Donovan was never scheduled to appear at the Tue & Wed performances, and this was advertised from when the show went on sale. The role of Tick at the Tue/Wed performance was played by Noel Sullivan, who has played the role regularly on tour. His appearance was advertised as soon as it was confirmed at the end of January.

We had some great feedback from audiences who loved Thriller. A really wide mix of ages in the audience and all were singing and dancing as they left.

Went to the theatre once again last night. Always very welcoming staff. Enough leg room and quite comfy seats. Went to see Ghost, which was worth a visit. Not as polished as seeing it in London due to staging but still very good.

Thanks for the nice feedback on our staff. Ghost was very popular, and audience responses to the special effects in the show was great to see.

As something of West End Theatre afficianados, my wife and I had been told by more than one person, to be disappointed when we visited Oxford's New Theatre to see the stage production of our favourite movie, 'Ghost'. We were expecting something less than impressive, less than atmospheric to what we are used to in London. Well, we needn't have worried. This charming old theatre (paradoxically named 'New' Theatre) had bags of character and lacked none of the charm of some of London's famous venues. The building itself more than satisfies and we found the staff to be polite, helpful and very friendly. Plus, there is adequate (if slightly expensive) parking less than 5 mins away in Worcester Street. So, for those coming by car, you may want to consider using one of the Park&Rides into the city centre. Just because it wasn't a West End venue didn't detract from the excellence and enjoyment of the performance either - it was a brilliant show. For us, this theatre was pretty much on our doorstep too, so no complaints!

Thanks for the nice feedback on the venue. We're really proud of the history of our building, which has stood on this site since 1934.
