“Good beer”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

The pub is nowhere near as busy as it once was but the people are pleasant and trying to get the place going again. The food is quite good and a decent price. Used to be a great music venue but was very quiet when we visited.

“Great little pub”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

I have lived in Oxford for four years and have never been to the Old Bookbinders. I've meant to, but for whatever reason it has never happened. Now I'm very sad I didn't make more of an effort because this is a great pub that I have missed out on enjoying until now. I had the steak and chips as recommended by another person on trip advisor and they were right. Great steak with lovely garlic butter drizzle. Pretty reasonable price as well. The drinks were pretty standard Green King offerings as far as I could tell, but the service was friendly and prompt and the atmosphere of the pub itself is cozy and warm. They have books for people to read and games that people can play and on a cold evening, as tonight was, it was perfect for having dinner and a long chat with a friend.

“The best local”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

This is undoubtably the best pub in Jericho. It has a fine selection of wines and more unusually whiskies. The 'Bookies' has been my regular pub for many years but with the wonderful staff and a great menu it is better now than it has ever been I woukld encourage everyone to pay it a visit.

“Not as good as my last vist ..”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

I have eaten here a few months ago .. So when some friend came to stay for the weekend i thought it would be a good all rounder ..
But the menu has changed mostly Crepes & burgers ..
So we had a burger hate to say it .. But it was nothing special not much taste ..
The staff are very nice a big plus ..
But the food not the best..
A few days later i ate in a pub around the corner the rickety press .. Had a burger again and it was great ..
So please bookbinders love the Pub staff great do something about the food ..
