Only a fifteen minute walk from city centre. Adequate car parking so you can leave car and either walk or use public transport (bus stop right outside). Nice breakfast and good supply of hot water in en suite. Very helpful owner.
Our room lacked storage for clothes is so far as there were no drawers and only limited hanging space - but if you can live out of your suitcase this is not a problem.
Just be aware that you could get your car blocked in if later arrivals park right behind you as it isn't a huge car park - and there's no on street parking close by for visitors to the city.
Nice clean room with good wifi connectivity - if that is what you need. Useful hair dryer in room and hot drink making facility. Soap, shower gell provided too.
Good value and somewhere to go for if you are visiting Oxford for a short stay.

Booking a hotel room in Oxford at the last minute often seems virtually impossible... I got this one at the last minute. There are a whole bunch of B&Bs along Abingdon Road, and I've stayed at a few with mixed results.

This one was clean, room was nicely decorated, good wifi, and the cooked breakfast was top notch. Would recommend, and will probably try and book in again here as a preference, even though it's relatively pricey for what it is.

Most of the reviews are accurate. This B & B provides a good value relatively close to town. It is a bit dated but is clean with some nice touches (tea and hot pot in room, hairdryer). The English breakfast was standard but good. The family room was large enough for four people with a nice-sized bathroom (fourth person slept on an extremely firm futon). The other beds were on the firm side as well, and there was some road noise, but not enough to interfere with our sleep. This larger B&B does not provide the "personal" touch of a smaller B & B, but the price is good.

The bed and breakfast is located conveniently on a main road where buses will pass quite regularly to and from the town.

We stayed in a triple room (1 double and 1 single bed) which was located at the top most floor and I had to lug my luggage up the three floors. My mom and I loved the English deco and beddings so we felt that all that hard work was worth it.

The bathroom was a shared one and it was located in between floors. It was clean and spacious enough to contain a shower stall, sink and a toilet.

We missed the breakfast because we had to leave early to catch a bus to Coventry but from the looks of the breakfast room, it would have been a nice one.

The room was clean very nicely decorated but a bit small, shower room also very clean and modern. It was an easy walk to the main shops and pubs etc and was perfect for us as it was only a few minutes from Folley Bridge (We went on a lunchtime picnic cruise..... which was excellent) The map of the area supplied to us had two pubs marked on them which we went to and can recommend as places to eat and drink although we were there on a friday night and they were very busy. Overall i would stay here again if ever in oxford. only comment is that one of the waitresses in the morning was not very welcoming but the other one was ok and the food was good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back as the house is on a main road which was very busy.

Newton house is a little guest house a bit out of the center of Oxford (you have to walk around 10 mins to get there, but it is very easy to locate). It is run by very nice people, friendly and helpful.
The cleanliness level is good for being British but not extremely clean if you are objective.
The room we got was pretty, but full of things we didn't need: like a pack of not so clean coasters on a table, a big closet that was locked and something like 8 decorative pillows on top of the bed; while lacking some others that could have been nice, like a place to hang our jackets (or a place to pile up the decorative pillows).
The internet connection is very good, and the bed, very comfortable.
The breakfast is included, and the breakfast room is very cute. You have a choice of breakfast that is not luxurious but is still very nice: the English breakfast has all the ingredients and it is nice (not the best ever either don't get me wrong), there is a vegetarian choice and also croissants (not awesome) just in case; also there's some little buffet with yogurt and cereals and all of that.
So I think it was a pleasant experience and with a good value for the money.

We were booked for just 1 night. The room was quite small and dark, clean but a bit shabby. We were grateful for the free parking but the car park is very small. It is in a handy position with plenty of buses going into the city. The breakfast was ok but the dining room a bit dark and depressing.
