We stayed at Burlington House for a 2 night break in August 2012. We'd looked at a few options for our accommodation in Oxford and there's certainly a lot of choice but we would recommend Burlington House.

During our stay Anna was the host. She was friendly, attentive and helpful; based on our experience and those in the other reviews, good customer service is something focused on at Burlington House and it shows.

We stayed in the King Size room which was clean, well furnished and a reasonable size for a B&B. The bathroom was fairly small and a minor criticism would be that the shower did take a while to drain. Despite our room facing the main road, it was relatively quiet during our stay.

Breakfast was very nice and definitely an attraction of Burlington House. It wasn't a problem catering for a vegetarian either.

We were able to connect to the complimentary wi-fi which had a modest to weak signal strength for us as the router is on the ground floor while our room was on the top floor. This wasn't an issue for us but it might be for anyone needing to connect to the wi-fi out of necessity or for work.

Burlington House has a good location in proximity to Oxford city centre. Buses from the city centre stop about a minute from Burlington House and are reasonably frequent. If you're planning on using the bus service for a number of journeys, you can buy a day pass ticket on-board. However, note that it won't be valid on night bus services.

We would definitely stay at Burlington House again and would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Oxford.

My companion and I stayed at this B&B for two-day visit with my son at Oxford. Every space here is beautifully designed. Breakfast is unbelievably great. The poached eggs resembled dollops of whipped cream. Owner Nes is helpful, anticipating and managing any issue including arranging a cab to pick us up at 5 a.m. The property is in easy reach of town via a 10-minute trip on the Number 2 bus. I highly recommend the Burlington House.

Had a very pleasant 2 night stay at Burlington House. Single room well furnished. Breakfast superb - fresh produce, sourced locally. Host very helpful with local knowledge. Must learn how to make Granola!

We stayed for 1 night and it was absolutely fine for what we wanted. Clean, comfortable and friendly. The breakfast was good too with home made bread and a generous portion - with plenty of choices. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Our stay at Burlington house was as good as ever. Many thanks for making our 25th Anniversary so special. This BB has everything that you could want, good breakfast and a great nights sleep. The great thing about this BB is that you can get a bus into town on a regular basis form just outside of the Hotel.
