Spent 24 hours at Four Pillars for business seminar and everything we asked for was provided, with attentive and helpful staff.
Food was fine -not gourmet, but just what we needed -and staff flexible enough to change lunch buffet on second day to array of sandwiches so that we could continue our work over lunch.
Bedroom spacious and quiet.
The swimming pool is small and crowded in the early evening.

Stayed for the weekend, having booked through LateRooms.com. Not the most impressive 4 star hotel we have stayed in, and glad we got it at a reduced rate, would not have been worth the full rate.

Ate in the restaurant on the first night, expensive for what it was, a limited menu. I had the lamb shank very little flavour and not the best mashed potato.

On a positive note the breakfast was very good.

I have stayed here on 4 occasions withy job and have always enjoyed my stay and feel very looked after by staff.
Check in was fast and we were allocated rooms in Eastwyke house which is charming! The clarins products!
The whole hotel is immaculate and the staff were all very helpful.
Food in the restaurant was very nice and the breakfast was great as there is such a variety.
Will be visiting again in May along with a large group of work colleagues and already looking forward to it.

Booked this as an Expedia secret hotel deal. Very pleasant, helpful and efficient staff. Room was very clean and had everything you would expect. Bathroom very slightly worn but good shower. I found the bed hard and pillows skimpy but this could be personal taste. Overall good value for money. We paid extra for breakfast but there was a very good buffet choice and I felt it was good value.

After a drunken decision to head to Oxford to go punting the girlfriend and I spent a night at the Oxford Spires. The building is impressive from the outside and the grounds are well kept. Inside our room was a good size although a little dated, regardless it's still good value for money. We'll definitely stay again next time we're back in Oxford.

We spent the week-end in Oxford at this hotel. Despite widespread storms and flooding throughout the UK, the hotel was very comfortable; doubly so knowing how wild it was outside. We stayed in the newly added Eastwyck House, in which Royalist officers lived during the Civil War: the rooms are sumptous. Charming staff and excellent dinner - surprisingly great and well presented food. All in all, very comfortable and a great week-end.

Room Tip: Room 503 was outstanding!

A Valentine weekend away in prospect, booked on line, but phoned reception to ask about a table booking for dinner.......they were hosting a Valentine special including disco, just what I was looking for. Oh dear! We we
Nt through for dinner to be told no Valentine function.....by this time (19.00) it was too late to reconsider location. What followed was a complete catalogue of errors with waiting staff......what the restaurant manager allowed someone who had only served on table on 3 occasions is beyond me. The food in fairness was good......the service abysmal. The following evening we decided to eat in the city center....we phoned reception to book a taxi.....how simple was that? It didn't happen! We were then 30 minutes late for our dinner reservation. My top tip with this hotel is eat elsewhere.
