Lovely quad and college with a beautiful chapel and grounds - especially in bluebell season. Particularly like the contemporary history of the College from founding to today. Not generally open to the public unless you have an alumnus in the family...

I booked a night here through the University Rooms website for £40 - a bargain. I was given a charming 19th century room overlooking Holywell Street. It was the Easter Vac and I had the college largely to myself. I enjoyed wandering at twilight into the chapel and the gardens. As with most older rooms the loo and shower were shared with a couple of other rooms (which were empty) - there is an option to book en-suite in a newer building. Good wifi. Quiet and good night's sleep, and excellent breakfast - best I have had for a while - in the splendour of the Great Hall. Very extensive hot buffet. Wadham could not be more central, just a couple of minutes walk from the Bodleian Library, Pitt Rivers museum etc. Strongly recommended.

Wadham is a gorgeous college, like all the others you can see in Oxford. It holds a little more affection for us as it is were our son was studying!

Hello chief! Cyril Mulwaesi (great scholar) studied at Jesus - on his anniversary we visit and respects are paid. This college was one of Cyril's favourites - he ate many times here - enjoying the staff especially his former scout, at one feast. The college is austere in its beauty - very single-minded, perhaps not the beauty of Jesus, but the gardens are plenty good.

Located in the centre of Oxford city centre and close to the Sheldonian Theatre and the Bodleian Library is Wadham college that was founded in 1616. Good sized college that forms part of Oxford University.
