Came here specifically to see these and they are so worth the admission money. It's by timed admission so not at all congested, even on a Saturday and in summary a real must see event!

We had only two hours which is not nearly enough time to see everything. Admission is free (£5 donation suggested), but we also paid to see the timed-visit special exhibit of Raphael drawings that were really quite extraordinary. Then we had little time for the rest of the museum, so we were happy that they provided a checklist of the "ten items not to be missed", so we were able to see them all. It's a large museum, but not uncomfortably so. We hoped to return the following day, our last in Oxford, to see more, but we didn't have time after visiting the Bodleian Library, some colleges, the indoor market, and the lovely botanical gardens. Next year we will allocate more time when we return.

Attended whilst the Raphael drawings were on exhibit. Just had an hour or so to take in the rest of the museum but saw a fascinating range of objects - and with fewer people than the crowded equivalents in London are much easier to take in. Great paintings, and great objects from ancient times - Rome and Egypt.
