Wear comfy shoes! Fantastic museum, huge . Spent 4 hours there and still did not see everything. Cafe busy ,pricey and noisy but the beef pie was out of this world!

... the building itself is stunning inside! But once you have admired the way the floors are linked by stairways allowing you enticing glimpses of the different galleries, do check out the Egyptian artefacts.

It's a wonderful museum, as good as any anywhere else and better than most. The building itself is inspirational and the exhibits vary varied and superbly displayed. I am surprised at the reviewer who expected to be allowed to touch them. We have always found the staff either unobtrusive or helpful when needed. The only criticism I could make is the prices at the restaurant.

Great looking facility, utterly ruined by unpleasant militant staff. We were quite literally pursued by a member of staff throughout three rooms at which point we left. A great shame as it looked to be of great interest. Whoever is responsible for training and managing staff urgently needs to reconsider their priorities and methods, or pop over to the museums close by and learn a great deal in how to welcome people into a facility that can only benefit people if they feel comfortable to walk around it.

Extremely well appointed and organised museum, with amazing amount of high quality. Too much to take in over one afternoon; need at least 2 visits to fully enjoy it.
