We visited before last year's refurbishments and had a great stay. The staff were universally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and smart with extremely comfortable beds and excellent bathrooms. We ate in the restaurant were the are alcove type seats available, the menu was interesting twist on a traditional menu ie dark chocolate creme brulee.
As my wife was running in the Oxford Half Marathon on the Sunday they opened up the breakfast an hour earlier than usual to accomodate the runners staying which was so considerate. The hotel is well positioned and if you walk down the lane you get to Ifley Locks from where you can stroll along the towpath into central Oxford, so much nicer and easier than driving and trying to park. We shall return!More
