“Recommended! Great atmosphere”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

We ordered a chicken hamburger and fries and it was great and they had a various selection of beers. It was a classic english pub and it's worth visiting, after midnight they stop serving food and it works only like a pub its a good place for a drink

“Another Morse Mecca”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

This is one of the definites on the Inspector Morse circuit. It is small and claustrophobic even with a small number of people but THAT makes it even more appealing as a part of English culture and television history.
We didn't eat but from what we saw and heard the food is tasty and worth the investment in time and money. The local beers are worth the visit alone. Sit a spell and enjoy the ambiance!!! Then get up and go find the TURF TAVERN over by the Bridge of Sighs.

“Small pub, good beers”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 via mobile

One of the many small pubs in Oxford, friendly staff, good beers but very little room and the few tables are often occupied by people on their own making squeezing in difficult. Good for a beer but eat elsewhere if you need a little more elbow room or there are more than 2 of you.
